TY Ormonde Castle Tour

Today our TYs ventured to the stunning local amenity of Ormonde Castle, a significant historical site dating back to the 12th century. The castle was originally built by the Anglo-Normans and later expanded by the Ormonde family, who played a key role in Irish history. During our tour, we learned about its architectural features, including the impressive stonework and defensive structures. The castle has witnessed numerous historical events, including the tumultuous times of the Wars of the Roses.
