Our Transition Year Students have arrived safe and sound in Barcelona, after an early start.
Day 1:
Day 1 of the TY Barcelona Trip began with a sightseeing tour of this magnificent city. We visited The Olympic Stadium, Montjuic, the statue of Christopher Columbus and the breathtaking La Sagrada Familia. We then journeyed to the city of Tarragona where the students took in the Roman Amphitheatre and headed to our accommodation in Salou. A great way to start the trip.
Day 2:
Day 2 in Barcelona for our TYs, saw the students head to the majestic Benedictine monestary in Montserrart, Cataluna Spain, where they had a beautiful view of of the mountains. We then made use of the wonderful weather and headed to the beach in the afternoon.
Day 3:
Day 3 in Spain for our TY’s was Theme Park day! The boys spent the day in PortAventura World Theme Park where they took on rollercoasters with names like ‘Dragon Khan’ and ‘Shambhala’. They then ventured bowling in the evening time and enjoyed the arcade games.
Day 4:
Our final day in Barcelona started with a visit to the Cosmoxaixa Science Museum where students experienced interactive activities and walked through a replica rainforest. They visited the famous Las Ramblas and Maremagnum shopping centre where they enjoyed some lunch and some shopping. Finishing up our day in The Nou Camp Football Stadium in Barcelona. We are on the way to the airport to head home after a very enjoyable holiday.
