Senior Football 29th November
Tipperary B U19
Today our senior footballers had their first game of the year against Presentation Ballingarry at St Mollerans GAA Club as our school aims to retain the title for another year. Ballingarry hit the ground
running with two goals within the opening minutes. After a slow start our boys began to get a grip on the game and started to retain possession while working the ball around the field. David Comerford got us off the mark with a point and a goal from a free and 45 that ended up in the back of the net. Aaron
O’Halloran contributed a number of well taken points from play in the first half. At the break Ballingarry led 2:3 to 1:4.
The second half started better than the first as scores came from Gearoid Power, Thomas Regan and Aaron O’Halloran once again. The game was a close affair throughout and Ballingarry once again struck the net midway through the second half. Sean Foley contributed well to play when moved to the middle of the field. The game finished up 2:11 to 3:5 in favour of ERSS Carrick-on-Suir with the final score coming from substitute Quinn O’Donnell. James O’Meara and Nigel Comerford played well throughout
the game cutting out numerous Ballingarry attacks while Stefan Tobin worked tirelessly in the attacking half.
Well done to all involved.
