The pitches at school have already been put to effective use this academic year, with training in hurling started and soccer, basketball and GAA due to commence in the coming weeks. As a school it is imperative that the playing fields are of a good standard, so training and lessons can be effective and so home games can be played on the school grounds and supported by the whole school community. Senior students also want a fitness suite that they can have access to on the school site, that helps them achieve their sporting goals and to use at times of the day, free of charge. For students to benefit from both, senior students in the school have started fundraising. All senior students are completing a time challenge during their PE lessons, with the first of these starting this week. We are asking parents, friends and the local community to support students to raise these funds. Please donate to the schools 'go-fund-me page' by following the link below. https://gofund.me/7898b18f
