Day1:

A great start to DCMUN as students arrived at Cork City Hall, lobbied their resolutions, engaged with powerful welcoming speeches, and enjoyed a stunning performance by the Davis College Choir. Everyone is looking forward to the fruitful debates ahead! #ERSS #DCMUN25 #TY


Day 2 of DCMUN 2025: 🌍🎙️

Our delegates from Ireland and the Holy See shone brightly, delivering impactful opening speeches in the General Assembly and Special Conference. Ireland’s delegate was even called to the Security Council. The day also welcomed esteemed diplomats from Malaysia, Hungary, and Germany, who added depth to the debates. A massive thank you to the inspiring keynote speaker, Dr. Jennifer Okeke from the National Women’s Council of Ireland, and distinguished speakers, Cllr. Dan Boyle (Cork Lord Mayor) and Mr. Denis Leamy (Chief Executive, Cork ETB), for sharing their wisdom and insights. ERSS delegates made the most of Day 3 at the General Assembly and Special Conference in Cork City Hall! 🌍 From debating Population Growth & Housing to tackling topics like Fossil Fuels and Police Brutality, a day filled with impactful discussions. #DCMUN #ERSS


Day 4, Final Day

A fantastic end to DCMUN 2025 today as our Ireland delegates have their resolution on the topic of “Addiction Prevention with Special Regard to Gambling” passed! 🇮🇪Congratulations to Paul Keane and Joshua Simpson on a well-written and impactful resolution. A huge congratulations to Darragh Moore (Holy See) and Paul Keane (Ireland) who both received an honourable mention for their efforts and involvement over the few days. Our delegates took part in debate surrounding the topics of cultural identity, political extremism and animal cloning and poaching, followed by presentation of awards and the closing ceremony, marking the end of another successful year at the Davis College Model United Nations event in Cork City Hall. Well done to all involved 👏
