On Thursday May 23rd, our school celebrated the graduation of our Leaving Certificate class of 2024. For students, parents and teachers this day is an opportunity to look back on the journey of these young men, to celebrate their achievements and wish them well in their future endeavours.
The day began with some rehearsals but we set aside some time for the students and teachers to enjoy some lunch together. The food was kindly provided by the Parents Association and the boys were very appreciative of the hot meal from Roberto's.
“Success doesn’t rush. The greatest reward is the journey.”
Graduation Day does mark an end to the student's time in our school but it is more importantly a celebration of their journey. During the mass, Father Cahill imparted some wise words on how their futures will take many paths. We heard from the 6th year Year Head Mr McCormack and Head Boy Darragh Cooney.
After our Mass and Presentations we invited our Graduates and their families to join us for some refreshments. Many proud parents, siblings and grandparents were present and it was a wonderful opportunity for the whole school community to celebrate together, recalling fond memories in school.
We wish all our Students the very best in their exams in the coming weeks. There is no doubt that this group will achieve many great things in their lives ahead. It is hard to imagine what life will bring, but there is a path for you all.
